In basketball, Washington State has beaten UCLA once in Los Angeles.

    Another from D-III:
Hardin-Simmons is 21-0 against McMurry since reviving its football program in 1990. The Cowboys go for 22 on Saturday.

Lopsided rivalries? Michigan football vs. the Big Ten and ND (entering 2009):

    vs. Illinois, 66-22-2
    vs. Indiana, 50-9-0
    vs. Iowa, 40-10-4
    vs. Michigan St., 67-29-5
    vs. Minnesota, 70-24-3
    vs. Northwestern, 52-15-2
    vs. Notre Dame, 20-15-1
    vs. Ohio St., 57-42-6
    vs. Penn St., 10-4-0
    vs. Purdue, 41-13-0
    vs. Wisconsin, 49-12-1

    However:

    vs. Cornell, 6-12-0  ;D

I would imagine the ultimate "team vs. conference" lopsided rivalry has to be Tennessee vs. the SEC in women's hoops.

Arkansas and LSU have tried to manufacture a rivalry over the years. They always play on the last weekend of the season and for the "golden boot" trophy:

But Arkansas is nowhere near as big a rival from LSU's perspective as Ole Miss and Alabama are.

Rutgers doesn't really have a rival and Syracuse, now that they rarely play Penn State, doesn't really have one either. They try to portray UConn as some sort of rival, but it really falls flat.

But there's been some great Border War basketball games. As much as it pains me, that 1997 double overtime game at Hearnes was an all-time classic. But there's been some great KU wins at Hearnes too - Aaron Miles' late 3, Kirk Hinrich's late 3, Nancy Padgett's line-drive jumper with 2 seconds left to close out Hearnes ... great stuff.

It's 46-14-2 against South Carolina, which isn't really a true rival, but has kind of become one in the divisional-play era. It's become established that the teams open the SEC schedule against each other, if nothing else.

Georgia-Georgia Tech is 59-39-5, but it's 33-12 Georgia since 1964. (In fact, Tech led the series after the 1963 game.) Georgia's also had two seven-game winning streaks since 1991.

Georgia-Auburn, meanwhile, may be the closest rivalry in the country. 53-51-8, Auburn, with a current cumulative score of 1,747-1,698 Georgia. From 1992-1999, the home team didn't win, with only a 1994 tie in Auburn breaking the string. Since the series went home-and-home in 1960, the visitors are 29-16-2.

Georgia's current three-game win streak is the longest since Auburn won 4 in a row from 1987-1990, which itself was the longest since Auburn won the last six meetings in Columbus from 1953-1958.

In football, UNC is 18-1 against Duke since 1990, although the series isn't too out of whack overall.

In basketball, Clemson has never won a game in Chapel Hill (54 tries) and the overall series is 122-19 going back to '26.

UNC vs. the rest of the ACC & Kentucky

    vs. BC 6-4
    vs. Duke 130-97
    vs. Florida State 40-9
    vs. Ga. Tech 59-19
    vs. Kentucky 21-10
    vs. Maryland 114-56
    vs. Miami 13-2
    vs. N.C. State 140-75
    vs. Virginia 124-48
    vs. Virginia Tech 59-12
    vs. Wake Forest 151-64

UNC also has a bunch of insanely lopsided series in women's soccer. Maryland and Virginia have yet to beat the Tar Heels in 31 and 36 tries, respectively. No ACC team has more than two wins against the Heels.
