Um, that's not Ryan Miller

MSNBC just broke into Hardball to announce that they had been hoaxed in a phone interview with a fake "Ryan Miller" earlier in the afternoon. The "real" Ryan Miller called in to correct the record. Apparently, the fake Ryan Miller had guaranteed victory against Canada if they and the U.S. played for the gold.

How do they know the second guy was the real Ryan Miller?

Because the real Ryan Miller would have said "Baba Booey" in the middle of the interview.

And with that, the eternal contribution to society of one Howard Stern is crystallized.

    Speaking of no-talent assclowns...

Repectfully disagree that Howard Stern is no-talent. Ass clown? Yeah, but that's his gig.

Years ago, one of Stern's folks called into Paterno's weekly radio show. JoePa swallowed whole.
Old Fran Fisher (the host) caught on, but Joe was clueless.

Stern may not be a no-talent hack, but his rep in being an ass clown with bigger ass clowns is growing thin.

never liked Howie Stern, never understood the fascination with this creatin of society.

but even as an adult I still laugh hysterically at crank calls. Especially when it happens to media outlets of such high standing.

What exactly is his talent, beside his incisive interviews with porn stars and strippers?

Look, I'm not a Stern regular, but I've heard a lot more than that. Some of his man-on-the-streets are creative, hilarious, and have nothing to do with porn stars or strippers.

Stern fans love the fake call-ins, but I can't imagine they do anything to build his audience. If you don't already listen to him, you just see them as juvenile.

We'll agree to disagree I suppose. I find him to be a douchebag, completely unfunny, and with no redeeming qualities whatsover. Shit like this is his lasting contribution to society.

Fishhack, on a completely unrelated note, is Ed "Superfan" Bieler still around? Listened to him as a kid on KCMO in Kansas City. He was truly unique. Must have made an impression since I remember him after all these years.
