    I actually got a touch paranoid at work, wondering if someone had gone on my computer and "blocked" access or something.

    Then I thought about all the gambling addicts, porn fiends and other degenerates of the newsroom and realized a few peeks at SportsJournalists.com is nothing by comparison ... ;)

    I missed being able to discuss Monday Night Raw on here last night. Then I remembered that I didn't watch Monday Night Raw, because there was the debate, MNF and Game 7.

    Must be a correlation in there somehow. Either that, or it's a vast right wing conspiracy.

    I kept trying to check on the previously unread stuff and couldn't get in. So, I was in bed and asleep by 8:30 p.m. last night. Been a while since I fell asleep that early.

    I blame Dooley's avatar.

    The evening did bring back great memories of when the site would crash every few days, and then someone would go scouring the internet for vacant property, some abandoned site that looked like ours but hadn't been touched for months or years, because God forbid we go a few hours without killing each other on SJ.

    Worked great until someone would post something heinous and there was no moderator to intervene, and some poor schmuck who forgot he even owned the site would get bombed with 'Report to Moderator' messages.

    God, wasn't there a rugby one we took over once for like a week, and the guy was SO THRILLED to see activity ... for about an hour and then he was over the whole thing? :D

    Ha, I was trying to remember the sport...thought maybe cricket. The webmaster was australian, I think...Jason? Jeremy? Jonathon? some J name. Someone registered using his name and pretended to be the moderator.

    This place was never the same after Webby got rid of the old server and the gerbil wheel that powered it.
