Russia's still getting some good chances, they just haven't been able to finish on them.

Now it's just getting out of hand.

Russia has 7 goals in their last 2 games.

Russia played some of the most entertaining soccer in Euro 2008. That was pretty fun to watch today. Cech probably hasn't allowed four goals in many games in his career.

Euro is only for European teams, so the U.S. couldn't be invited. I think Copa America invites top North American teams every so often, but they wouldn't bring Italy or Germany over.
Also, I think Austria and Switzerland co-hosted a previous Euro and Japan and South Korea co-hosted the World Cup before South Africa.

Nice performance by Russia today. That will definitely give them a leg up on getting to the quarters.

To be fair, I do a pretty fair impersonation of the soccer-ignorant.

I don't have much in terms of "my 2 cents" so far since I nary saw a match other than a brief glance...but I'll try to watch on Sunday.

The wife and I got a nice little Saturday planned already....and no, it does not include Home Depot or Bed, Bath & Beyond (if we have time).
