    UCLA BEAT WRITER

The Los Angeles Daily News, a 125,000-plus circulation daily in the
San Fernando Valley, has an opening for a UCLA beat writer to
primarily cover football and men's basketball.

We're looking for someone who is highly motivated, tireless and has
the reporting ability to beat the competition on a daily basis both
in print and on dailynews.com. "Inside UCLA" is one of our most popular blogs.

Candidates should have experience on a major beat.

Please send or e-mail your resume and clips to:

The gutenberg pipeline hears the Bloomington gig was filled.

As for UCLA, one word to be noted (and feared): SINGLETON

Would there be any reason for someone with less than three years of experience to apply for this one? I'm guessing no.

As I've been told many times:

If you apply, all they can say is no.
If you don't apply, they have no chance to say no. But they DO have no chance to say yes.

Care to let us know who got the Bloomington job?

Agreed. Wonder if they would bring back any of the earlier laid-off people within LANG.

Sorry. Not my place to leak the name but you will know soon enough.

I'll let the dude who got the job or the hiring SE reveal the identity.

Snoop around the jobs board and you'll know.

Yeah, I posted that question before anyone posted that Dustin got the job. But thanks for the valuable advice.

Yeah. I don't follow you around the boards, so I didn't know if you had read that or not.
