I hope you like the band. The early news is that U2's set to release their best work to date. Lots of people are chiming in to say it's phenomenal. I'm a fan. I'm also skeptical. Is it just hype? I don't know. But here's the news of the day.

To think that November might bring me the release of U2's new album, the release of Chinese Democracy and a new president who has given me hope for the future. Plus, I'll be 50-75 pounds lighter and possibly have a new career and maybe my first house.

Chances are, one of these things will disappoint me. But I'm pretty fired up, also.

Bank on GnR and U2, probably Obama too.

I'm in a great mood today.

Okay, I just ate a salad for dinner while the wife and kids had McDonalds. So I think I'll make the weight loss work, too.

So I just need you to give me a job as your personal savior at a salary of $50,000 a year, and I'll be set.

Pardon my skepticism, but isn't EVERY new release by an epic band their "best ever?"

And it never is. Except with Night Ranger, of course.

And we'll all have to take your word for that.

    U2: check.
Meet the new boss, not the same as the old boss: check
    Chinese Democracy: Nah.

    But don't be sad
    Cause 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

    ;D

I agree with Simon. I'm sold. Now I can't wait for November.

I thought "Atomic Bomb" was outstanding, and they put on a great show. There aren't many that get me to a concert anymore, but U2 will, and I'm even okay paying $200+ to see them. Well worth every cent.

That's my next question. OK, the CD is out in November. So when does the tour start?
