U2 ALERT -- UPDATE: FIRST TWO LEGS OF TOUR ANNOUNCED

TOUR DATES JUST RELEASED IN THE PAST HOUR. I posted them below this initial post on the thread I created last week, and they're also on a post on page 3 of this thread. Sorry if it's overkill -- I know many generally love 'em or hate 'em.

    --------------------------------------
U2's No Line on the Horizon can be purchased in full in MP3 format for $3.99. I assume it's a one day thing, maybe even only a few hours, like Amazon did on Black Friday with many items.

Now, you might not have to Get on Your (Snow) Boots to go get the hard copy today.

BTW, "Breathe" on Letterman last night was phenomenal. They're on Letterman every night this week.

    Here's the amazon link:

My pleasure, BW. I'll probably still grab the hard copy Tuesday, just because there's something about having the real item -- kind of like a newspaper with me, I guess.

No Line on the Horizon got 5 stars from Rolling Stone but a shitty review from Pitchfork, both of which were predictable. I've had it for 2+ weeks, and I think it's much closer to the former than the latter.

I'm reminded of The Onion item "Pitchfork gives the concept of music 6.8"

Listened to it once and it didn't jump out at me as a five-star album the way Joshua Tree did. (Cue Rolling Stone brown bunny cover story on the boys.) AllMusic.com gave it 3 1/2 stars which is probably a little low. But this one will have to grow on me a bit as many of their later albums have.

Um...yes you can. Most likely if you do even a little bit of looking you can get it for free. Someone somewhere has probably got it uploaded to rapidshare, megaupload or mediafire. It's all over torrent nation too.

    Sorry, folks.

If I can't pay the few bucks for artist material, then fuck it.

I can't believe that anyone around here, with these remora bloggers killing us by stealing our content, would stoop there.

Pay the fucking money, or sit out.

Some of us like to support the artists. Plus, how will they get to buy another car?

Yeah, and plus, if you pay the $3.99, you miss out on the chance to get that free mega-trojan as well.
