U.S. vs. Iran: It's on like Donkey Kong

    All the Mario games after Donkey Kong were designer-lame.

    I did like that Wario guy, though. Obey me, Wario. Destroy Mario!

    You kinda had to take a few quick steps, then turn around to make the ghost stop. Repeat a few times till you could escape. Star World in that game had some of the freakiest stuff.

    And you had to love the bombs with teeth and eyes:

    One world where you had to keep jumping on moving clouds ... it was the ultimate in gamesmanship to me.

    I used to rule on the Atari version of Donkey Kong. Of course, the graphics sucked, so the barrels looked more like rolling pizzas, and the coasting fireballs or whatever the hell they were sucked, too.

    Whatever happened to the old U.S. military action like whipping Grenada in short order. Oh for the days of real swift military action!
