U.S. sailors rescue sick 1-year-old at sea

Of course I hope the 1-year-old ends up being OK, which, by all indications, she is. When all is said and done, though, I hope someone takes a long look at the parents who decided to bring their two kids on a boat trip 900 miles off the coast of Mexico. And I hope someone takes a look at the bill that comes with such a rescue. If I call an ambulance and am transferred to the hospital, I can expect to get a sizable bill. I can't imagine what this rescue would cost.

I freak out the the thought of taking two kids that young to the mall. Let alone on a sailing trip around the world in a 36-foot sailboat. Probably more nerve rattling than doing it alone.
