U Of Ill Prof Fired For "Hate Speech"

U of I is as bad as Hitler, Lenin and Obama, I guess. Anyhoo, the prof should not have been let go for what happened in the classroom

 

Didn't happen in the classroom, Dools. It was an email to students and (reading between the lines) I believe it was an email with the express purpose of condemning homosexuals.

 

An mass e-mail from a professor to students taking his class, on an issue relevant to the subject of the class, may not literally be part of a classroom, but that's a silly semantic line to draw.

 

I like silly semantic lines.

 

I don't blame the kids, in a way.

Kid doesn't know if the school will do anything to punish the adjunct or not. If the school brushes it off, then the kid has to deal with the possibility of the adjunct getting revenge on the kid by flunking him.

 

Chief Illiniwek says good for the U of I.

 

If these kids had any fucking sense, they wouldn't have launched an anonymous crusade against the professor, who did nothing wrong.

 

Be interesting to see if he sues for reinstatement.

 

Give me a fucking break. If a professor flunked the kid it would turn into a lawsuit and the kid would be fired.
