Michael Madsen seems to play the same guy in every movie.

Having seen him on Broadway, he's got a career ahead of him.

When I was in college, I took a Shakespeare class and they showed us the movie of The Tempest that had a young John Cleese in it.

Nothing about the movie was meant to be funny, but every time Cleese was on the screen we started laughing. We were quoting the Monty Python movies and A Fish Called Wanda and the prof got so pissed that he cut the movie off.

True. I think he has the same wardrobe too.

Jon Heder. Not helping his case by making a Napoleon Dynamite animated series.

Even after No Country For Old Men? I think Harrelson looks old enough now that I don't identify him as Woody Boyd. He's also had a few excellent serious roles, starting with Zombieland and No Country For Old Men and Natural Born Killers.

I don't have hard time with this concept, though I think Michael Richards as Cosmo Kramer applies.

Ed O'Neill will always be the hapless dad character. Morgan Freeman will always be the sage voice of calm and reason.
