The first round pick won't be worth too much anyway if the Cowboys can actually make the playoffs. And knowing Jerry, on draft day he'll be working something to find a first round pick.

We were talking in the office about how many times teams had players with the same name on the roster. Then we discussed the possibilty of an all Jason (and various spellings) Williams NBA team. It would suck though.

And whoever was responsible for this trade may be the only competent man in the Lions organization.

Neither site has sources; unless you count ESPN's anonymous source as credible. I'll believe it when I see it. ESPN has been wrong way too many times for me to take them at their word.

I posted this on another thread, but here seems like a better home.

So the Cowboys can line up (when healthy)on any given play TO, Williams, Witten, Barber and Jones?

    fuck-o-lay

The price is steep, but that is a fucker for a defensive coordinator to plan against.

Crayton and Austin aren't bad No. 3 and No. 4 receivers either.

I was just thinking of the skill they could throw on the field at one time.

    Witten is a bitch of a match-up.

Crayton is about as good a No.3 as they come, the only one better might be Steve Breaston in Arizona but that's a little early to tell.

And yeah, what an offense they have there. Roy Williams is now a good ff player again.

I can only assume they made this deal because they're going to teach him how to play corner so he can take Pacman's place while he's out.

When both Roy Williamses were in college the fans at Oklahoma referred to the Texas Roy Williams as "Fake Roy Williams".

OOPS! I guess it was a first-rounder. ESPN screwed it up again.

And even in that story, the trade part is just tacked on to the old stuff that says Dallas might offer a second and third, and that Philly is interested. Jebus.

As a Cowboys fan, I don't like it. The price is too steep. If we were getting a really talented cornerback, I might be in favor of it. The offense has enough talent at the skill positions (Romo, Barber, Felix, Witten, Owens, Crayton, Austin) to compete for the Super Bowl. Dallas needs defensive backs.
