Twitter bleeding money

    Nice Gawker scoop. Leaked documents show Twitter lost $67.8M in 2010 and $25.8M through the first quarter of 2011. After that, they doubled staffing, but there's no indication revenues have picked up all that much, so there possibly/probably have been greater losses since then. (Facebook was taking in 26x the revenue during the period in question.

    There's no crisis because they still have hundreds of millions of dollars of venture capital coming in, but it's just confirmation that nobody yet has figured out how to monetize Twitter, including Twitter.
