    No.

I think on this thread we are as close to unanimity as SJ can ever get.

You can hate what this guy did all you want, but it's just not plagiarism. Be real, the whole digital first thing ensures that some tweets will be repackaged in print. But you cannot steal from yourself. Period.

I've been known to post on here and then Copypasta to FB and Twitter, or vice versa.
My Twitter feed says I work at My Podunk Paper.
    I am shamed.
    I should be fired.

    Change your question.
How do you feel if someone wrote a blog today and in two weeks put it in print. Because that's what happened.

    Aplogies for the plagiarism, Creosote:

Tattle tale? Media criticism makes me a tattle tale?
What do you call a reporter who discovers corruption in government? A tattle tale?
    Grow up.

I'd feel it was lazy and cause for significant concern.

I would not feel it's an act of violence, a culinary event, or plagiarism.

OK, I can agree with that.
If you were running a paper, would you address it in your media space and explain it to readers? I feel you should - nothing crazy.

Don't know about anyone else, but this thread is really fucking frustrating. No matter how many times you state your case, you're not going to be right. Move on to some new topic where you can tell your scant readers to
    "Grow.
    The.
    Fuck.
    Up."
    Classy.

Plagiarism, the new first amendment free speech bullshit.

This has to be one of the dumbest topics of all time. Rhody should know, he's been a part of a few.

This isn't meant to sound jerk-ish, but go read an athletic department's game day notes. Majority of the highlights are 140 characters for a reason ... they were sent out earlier in the week via Twitter.
