    Some IT folks I work with prefer to search with Twitter before Google because they feel they're able to get the most up-to-date information.

    Someone said it best above:

    I don't really follow or pay attention to my friends on Twitter. I pay attention to a few news sources, comedians, folks with generally interesting takes on things. It's a good daily dose of interesting links.

    Facebook is for my friends to post pictures, messages to one another and party plans.

    Both useful. That's why Tweetdeck is good. I use Seesmic, though. Same principle.

    Even worse that that ... Twitter invented 9-minute abs AFTER watching the video for 8-minute abs.
