This was raging all over social media yesterday while we were in shackles. (I blame chrismba.)

Bay Area station KTVU apparently has a Funny Guy in the production department who put those names into the system. But strangely enough, they were vetted with the NTSB -- which admits that an intern answered the phone and confirmed the "identities." Still no word on who exactly the people are who pulled it off.

As soon as I read Sum Ting Wong, I knew there was something wrong. Even with NTSB approval, I would have double and triple checked those names.

I can't believe they they duped the TV news people into airing that.

NTSB has confirmed to KTVU that the summer intern who was responsible for the erroneous confirmation is Heywood Jablome, who is currently a sophomore at Mike Hunt University.

Isn't that the school that just hired Buster Hymen as the football coach?

The NTSB official in charge was I.P. Freely.

If it wasn't for the fact three people are dead, it'd be hilarious, but I do admit I laughed. But that was a Ho Lee Fuck up.

In the world of Onion, it was a hilarious prank.

Four great lines. The last line is the perfect capper.

Hard not to laugh, so I did. Apologies to the families.

I believe it is. We're talking about the Mike Hunt University in Lottasex, Virginia, right?

That's the school where "Holes in the Mattress" was written by Mr. Again.

Their rivals are the Sam Houston Institute of Technology.
