Where do you get that she is dealing with rational people? She's dealing with a psycho. She knew so when she took the job. Again, if you're going to dance with the devil, be prepared for whatever comes your way.

 

I hate to further derail this thread, but it drives me nuts how misunderstood HIPAA is.

It is in no way a violation of HIPAA to disclose protected information when a health care provider believes there is a serious and imminent threat to the safety of the patient or another person. When the threat is to another person, the health care provider is permitted to disclose directly to that person.
