A 70-year-old shop owner recently shot a burglar on his property for the second time in three weeks.

A Dallas TV reporter tails said elderly shop owner to a sporting-goods store, where he buys a shotgun, and she confronts him in the parking lot and berates him on camera.

"So ... are you a trigger-happy kind of person? Is that what what you wanted to do? Shoot to kill?"

According to "Unfair Park," the reporter has been suspended indefinitely.

At least she has a nice clip for her audition tape.

Why did she get suspended for that? The dude just shot and killed two people.

What is she supposed to do? Break into the salvage yard to talk to him?

At least other would-be crooks know he's still armed.

And if it was an offense worth suspending her, why air it at all?

That was hardly an "ambush". The guy killed two people with two shotguns and was walking out of a store with another. Fair questioning.

It's hypocritical of the station to punish her after it ran and people bitched.

Did not editor or station manager see the clip beforehand? She just snuck it on the air?

They should be responsible for the content.

She was pretty aggressive, but she didn't shoot the guy or anything.

That was pretty much the opposite of objective reporting. What he did was legal. The intent of the piece was to make him look like a crazy "trigger happy" dirtbag looking to kill somebody, which is pretty irresponsible.

Video was pulled....hmmm not like Fox to hide controversy about themselves, is it?

Agree. Maybe criminals should stop breaking the fucking law if they don't want pumped with lead.

I feel absolutely no pity for the assholes he shot. Don't want to get killed breaking into a house? Don't break into the fucking house.

There was another story down here this week about a guy who shot a burgler after he was alerted to the burgler's presence by one of his pet birds.

She was WAY over the line. It was a legitimate story, but she clearly had an agenda.

The video's down now. But if she clearly an agenda, FOX will surely hire her.
