I haven't looked at a TV Guide in about 10 years. It's an anachronistic publication at this point.

Aren't there TV listings on the internet now? I have a channel guide with my cable, so I'm not really sure.

Hmmm...TV Guide is hiring a research manager, according to mediabistro.com.

Reminds me a bit of Sporting News' plight. Long-standing brand name that has been marginalized in the new world, despite a number of desperate overhauls.

I used to buy it, but I thought it kind of "jumped the shark" when it increased in size and became comparable to a regular magazine.

With recent technology though, I don't know anyone who buys it anymore. I'd be interested to see their yearly sales over the past decade.

Oh trust me, I don't want.

But I thought it was interesting.

My local paper tried dumping the weekly listings a few months ago. The backlash was unreal & the quickly reinstated it.
