Turned Down For Cubs Job, Sandberg To Manage Philadelphia Triple-A Club

    Having been rejected to be manager of the Cubs, Ryne Sandberg is going to manage a Triple-A club for Philadelphia, the team that traded him to Chicago in the first place. I feel a little sorry for Ryno because he was not considered (he did good work at the minor league level for them in Peoria and Daytona Beach). Hope the Phillies organization can utilize him. And saying this, I should say I am not a Cubs fan.
