    Re: Tunisia, Egypt...

I just saw a report on ABC News on this story that could've been WRITTEN by al-Qaeda. Nothing whatsoever on whatever grievances the protesters have, just the assumption that the fall of any of these governments means some Ay-rab will blow up the Wal-Mart next week. They were said to be, without irony, our "allies." Problems for the governments of Egypt and Yemen were said to be, "big trouble for the U.S."
Fun fact: An estimated one out of every three citizens in Yemen suffers from chronic hunger. Wonder how long it'll take A-Q to make hungry Yemenis aware the U.S. is the best friend of their dysfunctional government? "And that's a U.S. news source saying it, not us!"

The U.S. keeps their government from feeding the hungry in Yemen? How?

Combined with the speculators and Obama's failure to put them in their place before Congress changed hands, we're long overdue for $4 a gallon. We're also long overdue for a bad case of ass rash, but whatever. Those poor oil people have been making do for a whole friggin' year without a penchant for greed.

Got a friend in Egypt for work. She's already been cut off from Facebook once; I'm sure she has been again. Wondering if she'll get sent home sometime soon. (This same friend was stuck in Tunisia for several days because of the ash cloud last year. No friend of North Africa, that one ...)
