This is the 2nd time he turned down Atlanta. Little known fact that after Giants beat the Broncos in 86 - that night after game he was telling some people that he was going to Atlanta to be head coach. He had never gotten over the fact that in '82 after his 3-12 - season that some in Giants organization considered bringing in University of Miami head coach Howard Schnellenberger to replace Tuna. Tim Marra who he was close to, talked him out of it.

You are right, it was 1983 that they went 3- 12 - 1

And it still is rarely mentioned when the Parcells "jilted team" stories come up.

At post Super Bowl party Parcells was already telling Giant personal he was leaving and asking them to come with him.

Just another egomaniac who wants his ring kissed, all the time.

    Alimony's a bitch.

Even with good draft position, if he's going to be the last line of defense in talent evaluation, look out below.

Does Parcells trade the No. 1 pick for a package of players and picks, or does he take McFadden with the first pick?

No way he picks No. 1. He doesn't like picking RBs high.

He got Martin in the 3rd and Barber in the 4th.

So, does he take Glenn Dorsey or Jake Long with the No. 1 overall?

He will probably reach and take Matt Ryan or Colt Brennan at No. 1.

I think Dorsey would be the pick.

What's the furthest down Dorsey could be picked?

I can't see him slipping past the Jets. Team Mangini needs to upgrade the talent level on offense and defense, plus he or Long would be the safe pick(s).
