It’s not out of bounds. It’s a leftist approach.

Fromm, after all, is a Marxist.

If Tucker rose because of Trump, so did Samantha Bee and, to some extent, Colbert. When Trump loses his Re-election, Bee will lose her show and Colbert a large chunk of his audience. I can't see either one piling on President Biden.

Tucker Carlson is an effective communicator. Particularly effective in communicating that he’s a racist and misogynist. So yeah, perfect for today’s Republican Party.

My criticism of the reference isn’t really a criticism, but an observation: That it’s a leftist critique.

In what way is it a "leftist critique?"

(Or is it an essay citing the work of a mid-century "leftist?")

Is it more relevant to this essay that Fromm is a "leftist?" A "Marxist?" Or that Fromm was a German Jew who fled Nazi Germany?

Do you really think Isabel Wilkerson is a "leftist?"

What would be a "rightist" critique of race or caste in this country?

And you still haven't addressed the soundness of her central premise.

    meanwhile,

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/07/07/tucker-carlson-tammy-duckworth-patriotism/

Before launching a broadside against Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), Fox News host Tucker Carlson acknowledged that it’s not easy to go after a Purple Heart recipient who lost both her legs while serving her country in Iraq.

“You’re not supposed to criticize Tammy Duckworth in any way because she once served in the military,” Carlson said Monday night.

That didn’t stop him from calling Duckworth, a contender to be presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s running mate, “a deeply silly and unimpressive person” and suggesting that she and other Democratic leaders “actually hate America.”
