All new projected tracks are further west.

    Sucks to be you, Johnny.

As 2MCM says, the new cone projects it to move north, just off the western Florida coast, track through the Tallahassee area and up through Bainbridge.

    That's too close for comfort.

Might Fay be our first transgendered hurricane?

That is the biggest picture I've ever seen posted here, Batman.

    From the NHC's 11 p.m. discussion:

IN SUMMARY...BOTH OFFICIAL FORECAST AND GUIDANCE SHOW AN
INTENSIFYING TROPICAL CYCLONE MOVING ACROSS CENTRAL CUBA AND INTO
THE EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO. WE MUST PAY VERY CLOSE
ATTENTION TO THE EVOLUTION OF THIS TROPICAL CYCLONE.

Usually when they say something like that, it's a polite way of saying "oh SHIT"

MM, what does wind shear look like in the Gulf?

I ask because the upper-level high that's been baking us here deep in the hearta' has broken up. That would've steered it more westerly.

FB: From what Masters says, wind shear's going to be really light all along Fay's path, and there's a high-pressure over it, so that's not going to be a impedement.

Damn. Hope Forrest has his shrimp boat out to sea at Bayou La Batre around Tuesday then.

Sorry about that. Didn't realize it was Kong-sized. That's why you should never post and run, kids.

If he's within 100 miles of you, head for the hills.
