Per reasons already stated, the June storms tend to be soakers rather than wind events. Ideally, a much-needed soaker here in North Florida, where my yard is nice and crunchy.

I'll take no rain over rain.

Between droughts and Blind Melon, I'll take rain to cover any spread on the board.

On second thought, I wish I could make it rain.

So will Pedro Gomez cover it instead of Jim Cantore?

Well, the wind is moving into Central Florida, but the tornado watches end in 45 minutes. That has to be good news.

I read this morning that the drought conditions in Florida are such that the state needs about 40 inches of rain. Remember, we're playing catch up. This storm is normal in terms of the rain it dumps, so we'd need something more than normal to make up ground.
