Re: Triple Murderer Freed 'Cuz He Killed on Injun Turf

I'm more troubled this thread title has lasted for more than 24 hours with an offensive racial epithet.

The state of Oklahoma fucked up the legal process. Color me shocked.

Do you voice your concerns when a thread using "Redskins" is used?

How about those Cleveland Indians? Does that term offend you?

Injun is no more offensive than those terms.

You're an expert on how Native Americans feel about certain slurs?

Because I know quite a few and they'll throw punches if you call them an injun.

If there were a team named the Injuns and this were a thread about said team, fine.

    There's not.

You people don't understand. There's separate jurisdictions for tribes in Oklahoma. Why there wasn't a transfer at the point of arrest I know not.

There are separate jurisdictions in Oklahoma. Rant on whatever you wish but that's fact.

  10. What do you mean by "separate jurisdictions" that's different thn what's been discussed?

The crux of Oklahoma's case is the state didn't consider the land where the crime took place as Indian Country because it was originally allotted land with a complex title history, which is why the defendant wasn't transferred to the FBI.

I believe he's using it because it's the appropriate term. Am I wrong? What term would you use?
