Apologies if this is a d_b but I didn't see it anywhere.

Michaels resigned, at Zell's urging, after initially resisting the Tribune Board's discussion of forcing him out.

At least he only drove his car into the ditch this time rather than an entire newspaper chain. I'm sure he'll say that he had a plan that night and absolutely knew what he was doing.

    What a fucking joke.

If anything, Tribune should have tried to calculate how much they were damaged by his antics, and sued his ass.

On the other hand, Craig Dubow got roughly $35 million to leave Gannett. Sounds like Tribune got off cheap.

Talk about the 99%-ers. We're all in that group: Those who never will be valued by the newspapers for which we work at any rate close to what this f---head bled out of Tribune.

    Nice going, great newspaper company.

The Tribune Company for which Randy Michaels work was not a great newspaper company. That ship sailed when Sam Zell was given the keys to 435 N. Michigan Ave.
