Trentonian layoffs

    It was probably some newly-hired writers who'd interviewed, then moved all their possessions hundreds of miles, settled in, then were trashed. Typical chain MO.
    No self-respecting bird would shit on a Trentonian cage liner.

    If someone offers to mow, weed and fertilize your lawn, providing $30 worth of material, and asks $25 for the job . . . will you turn him down?

    Likewise, the paper would be crazy to refuse someone dumb enough to lose money on an assignment.

    Act like you are worth nothing, and that's how you will be treated.

    Yeah, nobody held a gun to the kid's head. And maybe he was having some trouble getting clips. This was one.

    By big names I meant their well-known veterans (or at least well known to those in the region) who have been at the paper longer than some of the younger members of this board have been alive.
