Duck You Sucker is basically a buddy film. Good one too.

I think "Beverly Hills Cop" qualifies, great interplay between Axel and Taggart and Rosewood.

48 Hours tops this list for me.

I think a lot of movies mentioned on this thread don't really qualify. 40-year-old Virgin? Not a buddy flick. It's primarily about the main character. Just because he has buddies doesn't make it a buddy flick.

Kind of the same reason that Beverly Hills Cop doesn't count. Yes, there are some great scenes with Foley, Taggart and Rosewood. But Foley is the main character and the other two are in supporting roles.

When I think of a buddy film, I'm thinking of the characters being on similar footing, like 48 Hours or Lethal Weapon.

    Great, great line.

It also has one of the great closing lines ever:

"You gonna stick around for your share?"

    "Nah. I'd only blow it."

I thought I was the only one on this board who liked this movie. Good to see it get some play, it is a fantastic flick.

I love the book, but never seen the mini-series. How does it compare to the book?

It wasn't a great buddy film, borderline good one, but would Taking Care of Business (Jim Belushi & Charles Grodin) count?
