Travel vacation help (I-64 stop suggestions)

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Evil ... Thy name is Orville Redenbacher!!, Jun 2, 2010.

  1. Ok,
I'm heading to the beach next week with the family.
We travel over I-64, (with an occasional trip on I-81) all the way to Virginia Beach, before turning south. It is a long-ass drive.
In the past we have made stops in Richmond, Williamsburg, Staunton, Charlottesville Harrisonburg and Lexington, which has a nice park, but a real shitty family restaurant.
I need a few suggestions for nice, good family restaurants, and maybe a few places to stop and stretch and let the kids (all under the age of 8) run around.

    Thoughts? Ideas?

  4. I think it was the Redwood. Might have been the Lexington.
