Hey guys, I'm looking for travel websites for discount flights, I know there's probably about a thousand of them out there, just wondering what you guys reccomend or have had success with in the past.

I am looking to fly from Edmonton to Toronto in early December to do the Hockey hall of Fame thing with a couple of buddies, and also to get liqured up pretty godd (one of the days that we will be there, just happens to fall on my birthday), as well for any of the Torontonians out there if they have any cheap hotels semi-close to downtown toronto that they would reccomend, as well as good pubs/bars, any help would be appreciated. If you happen to be in the city while we are there you are more than welcome to join us either at the HofF or for drinks later on.

Define what you mean by cheap hotel?  You could always stay at the official SportsJournalists.com outing hotel, Hotel Victoria. Runs around $150.00 a night and is just a 1/2 block from the HHOF.

And across the street is the official SportsJournalists.com Toronto pub, The Irish Embassy.

I was hoping to keep it in the $100 range if possible. We don't need anything fancy, basically just some place to crash at night, as long as the cochroaches are able to walk off with our bags.

$100.00 a night for a hotel downtown in the centre of the universe? Unpossible.

There are some motels out near us in Mimico--about 6 or 7 kms from downtown where that would be possible. You can hop on the street car and it'll take you right downtown.

Is $150 about as cheap as I'm going to get in the downtown vicintiy?

  7. In the past we've used all the usual ones: Priceline, Travelocity, Expedia, Hotels.com. Also check the airline websites. I believe NWA flys out of your neck of the woods. Hope this helps somewhat.
