I'm scheduled to fly to Denver on Saturday evening. Looks like Blizzard part 2 has struck. What's my best bet for getting out Saturday/making sure I get a flight on Sunday morning at the latest?

And hope they don't have to close down parts of the interstate again.

Ask the Scatman if you can use the snowcat.

if you do have to fly, don't check your bag, or you might never get it back.

Excellent call. It would be worth it to ship whatever you can, toss whatever toiletries don't meet the new requirements and carry on. A man purse would be helpful :)

Check the flight schedules and see how many other flights there are...get to the airport early and try to go stand-by on an earlier flight. The airline should roll you over onto the next standby list until your actual flight. Usually, if planes are flying, you'll get the seat of someone else who got messed up by weather.

Don't take any connecting flights, unless you're prepared to spend the weekend in the connecting airport. Unless the connection is in Maui.

Then just hope for the best and be prepared for the worst. Nothing you can do about it.

    Happy New Year, Simon. :-*
