  1. This looks awesome. Set for release in October.

(The casting for Karl Rove is spot-on.)

Saw it the other day. Yes, it looks yummy.

"How did he get from here, to the White House." or something like that. Awesome.

I'll be curious how it does at the Box Office.

Love James Cromwell, but he doesn't do it for me as HW.

A lot more imposing, for starters.

    Stone has his following.

Will it do great? Almost certainly not. But doubt they'll lose money, at the end of the day.

Seems like there'd be more Bush fatigue among moviegoers than a desire to see him skewered, Stone-style.

Yeah, do you really want to watch a movie of something you just lived through?

I kind of felt the same way about the 9/11 movies. I eventually saw the first one after the reviews were so glowing and I saw Stone's version about a year after it came out.

If this gets unbelievable reviews and Oscar buzz, I may see it in the theater. If not, I'll wait.

    James Cromwell as Bush Sr..fabulous.

That said, I'm in Mizzou's camp on this.

Here's a good piece on the film and Stone in EW:

I wonder if it'll premier at the Toronto Intl Film Festival.

Perfect time and place to launch a Stone flick.
