Is a character more or less badass if he dies at the end?

 

Good question. Not sure. Maybe it depends on the plot and theme of the movie? If a movie props up someone to be so badass that he/she is invulnerable and winds up getting killed, well maybe they weren't so badass after all?

That's one reason I like NCOM - the person feared most was still out there at the end. Makes you think, sheesh, pure evil is still loose, which of course it is in real life too. No telling when someone might accidentally cross paths with pure evil.

 

Michael Corleone. From start to finish (well, through the first two movies anyway), he is always the toughest MF in the film.
