    It was a beautiful display. Instead of paying about a thousand bucks, dude gets shackled and thrown in clink. Classic move of busting through the door to hit the senior citizen then blurting out "Oh, did I hit you."

    FWIW - cussing cops never a good idea.

    I saw it all on CNN the other day at the gym. Just hysterical shit. And since it was ALL on tape, Pete didn't have to do anything but let the optician dig his grave.

    Peter Silverman is a legend in Toronto. CITY TV is a pretty edgy but populist station and Silverman is more or less the people's ombudsman.

    The best was how Silverman protected his cameraman, saying "Don't you touch my cameraman," and then stepping in front.

    Just awesome.

    EDIT: Anyone else notice the fast-acting cops when they weren't quick enough to beat the optician to the door?
