We had 6 inches of snow on Friday.
    A thunder snowstorm on Sunday.
We had fog so thick yesterday, visibility was down to about 20 feet.
I wake up today to 50 degrees and cloudy.
Now it's 34 and rainy. Ice and snow are predicted for tonight.

We are in a bitch of a weather pattern in the Midwest. Somebody pissed off Mother Nature.

    April 3, 1974.

Last time my hometown had serious problems from tornadoes. Had a flood 10-some odd years ago, but tornadoes haven't really pounded us since 1974.

Where I'm at now, not sure how long it's been.

Hey, three weeks shy of a year ago, a tornado passed 1 1/2 miles south of my house. I can relate.

    My first thought as well.

I was itching for some Magnum T.A. and Mr. Wrestling II chatter. II had a hell of a knee lift if I remember correctly.

    On a more serious note...

Tornadoes followed by snow? I am not from the midwest, but that has to be rare, right?

Yeah, and to paraphrase Lloyd Bridges, it looks like my snowblower picked the wrong week to quit working.

A "high risk" designation is bad ju-ju, mon. I've never seen it issued and it not result in a huge tornadic outbreak.

The front has passed through Dallas with little more than rain and a few rumbles. It's all clear here. But it's blowing up big-time in East Texas.

If you are in the I-30 / US 67 corridor, watch out. That area is a tornado superhighway.

14-18, and possibly up to 20, inches expected overnight!

It couldn't have come two days earlier and snowed out the damn Louisville game.
    (Disgruntled alumnus sigh.)

My office window faces west. It's been odd watching storms roll in like it's late April, then realizing it's only Feb. 5.

Some of the clouds have given me the heebie-jeebies. You other Suthnas know what I'm talking about. When you see a cloud and think "Damn, that one looks scary."
