Top online HS sports sections?

    Hey all,

I'm doing some research, trying to find what some of the best HS sports sections online are -- not really interested in content, but layout and design. I'm looking for something clean, easy to navigate area teams and a simple way to present scores. Anything with video would be a big plus.

    Thanks.

This is the absolute best I've seen: http://lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=SPORTS02

It's The Journal News in Westchester, N.Y., but calls itself LoHud.com.

LoHud does well, but keep in mind that they throw a lot of manpower into the site and much of that effort is expended on meat-and-potatoes stuff rather than multimedia innovation. Though they're suburban-NYC, pro sports coverage is barely more than an afterthought. They put their effort into community sports and it shows. Devaney and Carpiniello and strong writers, and they're backed by a bunch of people cranking out daily.

I give LoHud a thumbs up, but for overall site quality, their neighbor at Middletown (http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=SPORTS31) remains just a tad better.

Hey, thanks a ton for linking that other thread -- something like ocvarsity.com is exactly what I was looking for.
