Top Of The Props

Here’s a little contest for those inclined to make your Super Bowl viewing a bit more engaging, based on the ever increasingly popular and completely trivial Super Bowl prop bets.

Ten prop bets are listed below along with the point value awarded for the right selection—make a choice for each and give the total passing yards by Kurt Warner as the tiebreaker.

Note that some bets have an added choice that pays a much higher point total for a much higher risk. For example, Edge has rushing yard options for Over 43.5 and Over 100. If you pick the O43.5 and he goes for 75, you get the 100 points. If you pick the Over 100 and he goes for 75, that’s no points for you. If he ends up with 122, both those selecting over 43.5 and over 100 get their points—with the over 100 getting a cool 750 points.

Most points wins a no expense paid trip to Tahoe, the book “Understated Announcing” by Gus Johnson, a replica KISS Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Plaque, copies of all movies for which Jimmy Fallon received an Oscar nomination (VHS only) and your choice of a six pack of Dr Pepper or Fresca (whichever you decide to buy).

I’ll total the results up Monday morning and award the crown to the SJ. Com Top of The Props Charmion.

My favorite prop was on Bodog. It was "Who will the MVP thank first?" Choices included God/Jesus, coach, teammates, family.

As far as I remember, Holmes didn't thank any of them.

Took Gary Russell to score the first TD at 15/1 odds. He's my new favorite player.

Also saw a prop bet on what color the liquid poured on the winning coach would be.
