    It is very good writing.

    But holy shit is that game story dripping with some of the wrong stuff.

    Dude, chill.

    Let's not forget that he wrote this around 1 a.m. at the end of an extra-inning game where the Sox were either going to have their season end or live to fight another day. I say Gammons' story is damned masterful.

    I understand St. Peter is considered a touch above around here, and the Game 6 story should forever rest in a holy reliquary, but that reads like a column. It's not taking the middle lane -- and, worse, it doesn't even seem to try to do that. I'm not talking about the craftsmanship of the story (which we all agree is good) or how well it was done under pressure of deadline. I'm saying it's badly editorialized. He's gushing.

    Just one guy's opinion.

    I have no personal beef with Gammons. He was an asshole to my ex-girlfriend one time, but I kind of like him for that.
