    Season starts June 16.

As mentioned on the Vegas thread, Toby the cranky Yoda is out. Very hot Eric Ripert is in.

Wondering if Padma will be more charismatic now that she is a mom. Very tired of her.

    Here's the new cast:

Anyone know any of these folks?

Also, maybe it's just me, but I find the current Top Chef Masters to be utterly unwatchable.

Can't get into TC Masters either. Just saw the wedding episode. Did the bride mean to wear that dress??

Skimmed the TC bios and have to pick out who plays the Marcel role this season. Maybe the 'beast' in the kitchen.

Top Chef Masters is just boring.
Susar's vagina desert was pretty hilarious though.
    Ol' gay James was horrified.

    'Vagina dessert' seems redundant.

    It's called brand extension:

You've watched them whip up delectable dishes, and a soupcon of drama, in the Top Chef kitchen. Now, stars of the hit Bravo TV series are ready to school their fans: Pack your knives and go... online.

Top Chef University.com, formally launching this week, is designed to give users the experience of culinary school at their own pace, with 12 courses covering about 60 hours of content.

It is also the breakfast of champions.

    Chocolate crumble shaped like underwear?

Can't get into Top Chef Masters either. I usually skim through to see what the challenges are, then delete it.

The DC cast looks interesting. I'm hoping my initial reaction is wrong, but it looks like they're going more and more for the Real World meets Top Chef look. I guess it's all part of branching out and trying to attract younger audiences.

One of the contestants is an instructor at the Culinary Institute of America ... http://www.bravotv.com/top-chef/bio/lynne-gigliotti

One is a "consultant" — whatever that means in the restaurant world ... http://www.bravotv.com/top-chef/bio/amanda-baumgarten

Toby's metaphors-similes-analogies-comparisons were just too tortured and contrived.
I liked the idea of a harsher judge, but if you have to work that hard at the analogy it doesn't work.

Eric Ripert has his own cooking show on PBS. He also has little adventures where he goes hunting for wild boar for that night's dinner.

His show is straight up food porn.
