    Rescue Me isn't really a comedy, but Sean Garrity is the funniest character on TV right now.

    And Charlie from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is up there, as well.

    No love for Big Dan Fielding on Night Court? The character to whom a female once said "I've never seen anyone's business card that listed the length of their tongue."

    The great comedies (AD, Southpark, The Office, Simpsons) have so many great, great characters that they split the great moments between them.
