Top 5 movie directors under 60

    I'm a big Sayles fan too. The guy is incapable of making a movie that isn't interesting. Check out Silver City and Matewan if you haven't already.

    No names that haven't been mentioned here already, but I'd rank mine thusly:

    1.Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction is nearly a perfect movie in my book)
    2. Christopher Nolan
    3. PT Anderson (for Boogie Nights alone, and that's before I've seen TWBB).
    4. Bryan Singer (Much like Pulp Fiction, the Usual Suspects is a 9.9 out of 10)
    5. The Coen Brothers

    Honorable mention: Kevin Smith (Clerks and Chasing Amy are two of my faves, and I loved Clerks 2. But as someone mentioned earlier, he's a mediocre director).

    Kevin Smith is the only director I really know off hand, aside from Spike Lee. He's not a great director, but the work he did in Jersey Girl is underrated, in my opinion.
