    To me, rankings are largely a joke anyway (especially until they get rid of preseason polls, which will never happen), but please tell me what Notre Dame did to be ranked No. 10.

    You must be referring to the "big play" offense that showed up against Western Carolina. 'Cause I didn't see a "big play" offense against South Carolina (17-16) or Kentucky (26-7) or Vanderbilt (25-19) or Florida State (21-14). And I'm overlooking the fact the Gators scored an average of 22.0 points against Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Georgia because they're good teams.

    BTW.... ground-it-out, ball-control Michigan averaged 30.2 points.
