Too pricey to watch The Watchmen

    Staying in an Embassy Suites over the weekend, thought I might watch The Watchmen.

    $14.95. Yikes!

    And it wasn't the most expensive movie ... Surveillance was $19.95.

    Cheapest among the dramas was $11.95 ... still awfully high in a Netflix universe.

    Of course, I'm still shaking my head that they wanted $5.50 for a small popcorn when I went to see Star Trek. But the place (a Carmike in Franklin, Tenn.) did have a Stimulus Tuesday deal where you could get a 46-oz. popcorn for $1 and a big drink for a $1. That was cool.
