    Paging Starman ...

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Oct. 18) - A federal judge on Tuesday delayed the Oct. 24 execution of cult leader Jeffrey Lundgren to allow him to join a lawsuit filed by five other death row inmates challenging the state's use of lethal injection.
In his request to join the lawsuit, Lundgren, 56, said he is at even greater risk of experiencing pain and suffering during the procedure than other inmates because he is overweight and diabetic.

Similar lawsuits filed in several states have led to the halting of executions in Missouri, Delaware and New Jersey. Opponents have argued that the use of the lethal injection is unconstitutionally cruel and painful and that the procedure is often carried out without specifically trained medical personnel present.

But Ohio's method of lethal injection came under national scrutiny by death penalty opponents in May after problems slowed the execution of another inmate who was a former intravenous drug user and the vein the execution team chose collapsed as the chemicals started flowing.

He's also too fat to be broken on the wheel. Pity.

Just have a forklift ready to haul off the carcass. Sweet dreams, Lundgren. ;)

Unfuckinbelievable. Did he happen to ask the people he killed if they were in pain?

A poster child for what's wrong with our legal system, when a death row inmate can file a frivilous lawsuit and waste taxpayer time and money like this.

Howzabout we start giving people the choice for method of death? No problem with that. Let the douchebags pick how they get snuffed. And then just do it.

That's an idea. Feed him twinkies until his stomach explodes. He'll never want to taste that gooey, sugary cream again. And lucky for him, he won't.

And don't let them sit on death row for 20 years.

Well, if he's really that fat, he's probably going to die pretty soon anyway.

Anything that stops state sanctioned murder is OK by me.

In Texas, it looks like one death row inmate got a little impatient:
