Good point, but they've had since December to get it down. They should have it by now.

They haven't worked on every day it since December.

They got 15 days in the spring, training camp and 20 hours a week during the season, part of which includes meetings and the actual game each week.

You need at least a season to a season-and-a-half worth of work to make that radical a switch

Its a completley different mindset for O line. It looked like a team where their O line did not buy into whole thing.

In some ways its kind of boring for O linemen.

Bottom line is, they should be smart enough to pick this thing up in 11 months. They had a couple weeks in December to get the basics, spring camp to get a little more of the basics, all of preseason camp and nine weeks during the regular season so far.

I'm not saying they should be masters by now, but it shouldn't be this bad.

Auburn's mess is more than just the O-line, though.

So the answer is to get rid of Tuberville?

You've still got to have the right personnel to run it though. If you've recruited guys who are run-blockers first they're going to struggle for awhile.

Of course the fuckwit mouthbreathers that make up the fan population at places like Auburn don't understand that.

And the same idiots who were screaming that War Eagle U needed to open up the offense are now screaming that they need to run the ball more.

I agree with all that. I guess I'm just surprised they look this bad this far into the season. They can't block anyone.

Exactly - Its easier for a bad team to put in spread since expectations are not as high.

It is hard for Auburn to take a step back.

If anything Tuberville needed to show more of a spine.

The offense takes more than 11 months to learn.

Covered a high school here which was the first in the state to implement Franklin's offense.

Watching the progress that team made from the first to second year was astounding. And it was fun to watch once everything started clicking.

Watching Auburn play calling this year was like watching someone with multiple personalities.

It seemed like while Tuberville wanted spread he never fully bought into it intellectually.
