    That article wasn't a feature, a profile, an essay, a think piece, or anything else "journalistic". It wasn't fascinating.

    It was a rant plain and simple.

    Really? Like DD, I don't necessarily agree with the conclusion he reached, but the journey there was fascinating. A rant implies something simplistic and not well thought out. I disagree wholeheartedly that it was a rant.

    Junod: Nah, I'll just throw together a rambling hit piece on what a phony asshole he is.
    Granger: Genius! I'll commission an illustration and we can still sell it as a profile.
    Junod: That'll work.
