completely stunned that a safety consultant would want higher railings. next thing you know a few lawyers will want to sue the stadium owners, construction company and anyone else they can name.

When something is made, with a conscious decision to be less safe, and someone dies because of this decision, that is why we have a court system to punish them.

In America we either throw them in jail, take money from them or take away their ability to do something. Somewhere a person thought it would be a better idea to give people a better sight line than protecting them from falling from a deadly height. That person, in my opinion and possibly a jury's, made a poor decision.

Mr. Derby doesn't seem to be blaming the ballpark.

Sure, that idiot made a conscious decision to climb something (which he could not have done as easily if it was at the sensible height). The kid's father barely leaned forward.

You still don't get that a toddler and a father are dead right now so people can see a little better at a game. Maybe you are cool with that. I'm not.

I was at one of those exact suites at Staples this year. They are pretty damn low, comparatively speaking.

A pox on those parents for 1) bringing a tot and
    2) not holding them tight every second they were in the suite.

Judge agrees with those who blamed the parents, lawsuit dismissed.
