Dry cleaner wins missing pants case

By LUBNA TAKRURI, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 10 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - A judge ruled Monday in favor of a dry cleaner that was sued for $54 million over a missing pair of pants.

The owners of Custom Cleaners did not violate the city's consumer protection law by failing to live up to Roy L. Pearson's expectations of the "Satisfaction Guaranteed" sign once displayed in the store window, District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Judith Bartnoff ruled.

And he has to pay court costs for the cleaners too...
Maybe they'll counter sue for mental anguish...

There was nothing wrong with the guy suing. He just went overboard with the amount he wanted. If he had kept the amount reasonable, it would've made a difference I believe.

I disagree, simply because he'd make a demand and they'd agree. Then he decided that demand wasn't enough, so he upped the ante. They agreed again, and he upped the limit again.
They made the effort to appease him and it wasnt enough. This didnt have to go to court; this didn't have to involve attorneys.

If he has to pay for the legal fees too, I may start to have faith in the judicial process.

Following the lead of the Jericho fans, maybe we can send the plaintiff some of our favorite pairs of trousers. What a loser.

Gee. That much was obvious by his filing the pants lawsuit.

Now watch him file suit against the committee.
