Great call on Warfield.

I think Sterling Sharpe would be right there if he hadn't hurt his neck.

 

Never saw him play but Mark Bowden's book on the Giants - Colts game in '58 would make a pretty good case for Raymond Berry.

 

I'd put Biletnikoff and Berry over Owens and Carter

 

Not sure he belongs, but I felt compelled to mention Henry Ellard, who is seventh in yards (13,777) and 17th in catches (814).

I didn't think his numbers were that prolific.

 

I think a guy who is overlooked so many times is Warfield.

whoa...tom fears...yep, good mention. helluva receiver and, much like warfield, too often overlooked.

 

No Plaxico or Jim Smith (Ie the guy who spiked the ball at the 10 back in the early 1970s when he thought he scored)

i've talked and interviewed some veteran nfl types through the years and so many of 'em just rave about charley taylor.

 

You'd put Stallworth over Ward?

I think Stallworth is generally underrated -- and was a much better receiver than Swan -- but Ward is the best Steeler receiver ever.
